Luxembourg-American Cemetery

All Luxembourg all the time.
Nice bus ride to to the cemetery today.  This was another fine example of the good work of the American Battle Cemetery Commission.  These folks are the finest example of tax dollars well spent.  The most famous resident is George Patton.

He was buried here after his death from injuries in a car accident in December 1945.  Of course his monument is in the front looking out over the field of graves.

This is a panorama of the site. Click to see it all.

Most of the folks buried here were killed North of Luxembourg City during Dec/Jan 1945 at the Battle of the Bulge.
