Ludwig and the Luge

Checked out of Munich for a trip to Salzburg.  Nice ride today with a couple of great stops.

First stop is Neuschwanstein castle built by King Ludwig II.  Ludwig was not into that king stuff, he just wanted to build fantasy castles which he did for a while until they declared him insane and shipped him of the the farm.  A couple of days later they found him dead in the lake along with his psychiatrist.

This is a photo of the castle Ludwig built in the Bavarian Alps.

It probably looks familiar because Disney used it as a model for the Princess Castle in Disneyland.  Ludwig never got a dime from Walt though.

No pictures allowed in the castle but we did get a shot of the kitchen.

Pull the Lever to Brake!

On to the luge.  Just like the Olympic sport without the snow and the tight pants.  Lots of fun if the guy in front of you doesn't go too slowly.

Went really fast.

Went too slow.  Ruined the day for a whole family.

Serious driver.  Expected to be minimum Silver in the Games
