Moving On From Luxembourg

Checking out of Lux City today.  We'll miss it but not the prices.

Train ride to Trier Germany.  $10 and 45 minutes later, we're in Trier.  Nice walk through town to our new digs, Rezidenz am Zuckerberg.  This is a combo hotel and nursing home.  They rent out surplus apartments as hotel rooms. Great idea.
Our place has a large living room, kitchen and bedroom.  Bath is complete with every old person grab bar and emergency button so we fit right in.  Breakfast is standard hotel buffet. Nice place for $95/night.

Off to town for some snack shopping and lunch.

White asparagus soup was really good. Sat next to Dick Butkus in the restaurant.

After lunch we discovered a toy museum above the restaurant.  Lots of really old toys in many rooms nicely displayed.  I even found my old buddy Mobo. I had one when I was a kid.  Still have it but don't ride it any more.

Dinner at a wine bar.  Pork for Nana and more white asparagus for me. Seems to be popular around here.  This is the third time I've eaten it since we arrived.

We passed an Irish bar on the way home so naturally we stopped for a pint (0.5l).  Nana had the local brew.  Nice head.
